A son helps his mother remember that beauty and light surround her even when it seems she is trapped in the darkness of her mind.

Simon works to help his mother, Meryl, as she struggles to work through the physical lethargy of her depression and start her day. He slowly brings his mother out of her dark bedroom at the end of the hall to share with her a moment of blissful calm as the two of them watch light dance around her studio.
