Paul Jacobson is lost. He has a good job and a beautiful family, but still feels completely dissatisfied. One weekend, his boss invites him to a Civil War re-enactment, and Paul falls in love. His worldview is flipped on its head for the better, and he is completely rejuvenated and revived. But there’s one problem: the way he approaches these re-enactments is a bit… bizarre. When the first shot is fired at each re-enactment, Paul dies immediately… and proceeds to lie on the ground for hours until it’s over. For the people in his life, it’s cause for concern, but Paul is insistent that he’s found his true calling.

Paul must make a decision: go back to his old way of living and make people comfortable, or keep pursuing his true calling.
